A Brief History of Holotropic Breathwork in India
KC Thomas was introduced to Holotropic Breathwork (HB) in California in September, 2001. It was such a life transforming experience that KC decided that one day he would become a certified facilitator.
In 2010, he opened the Don Bosco Institute of Psychology and Spirituality in Trivandrum, a center for sabbatical programs integrating yoga, meditation, psychotherapy and ayurvedic massage.
In 2013, with the help of Tav Sparks and Holly Harmon, KC began the process of bringing Holotropic Breathwork to India. The first training module was in Trivandrum with 14 participants, 8 of whom are now certified facilitators.
Training still continues in India with Holly Harmon and Deb Dunning travelling from the UK annually to train and certify HB Facilitators. A second group of candidates became certified in December 2020. Training modules have also taken place in Sri Lanka.
In 2018 alone, over 600 people participated in HB workshops and retreats in India and Sri Lanka.

K.C. Thomas SDB
K.C.Thomas SDB is the Director of Don Bosco Institute of Psychology and Spirituality in Trivandrum. He has a Masters in Philosophy and a Diploma in Integral Counselling Psychology. He is a research scholar at Sedona University. He has taught at Montfort College (Bangalore), Institute of St. Anselm (UK), Holy Names University (California), Salesian Pontifical University (Rome), Caritas Center (Cologne). He is certified practitioner of Holotropic Breathwork and represents Grof Transpersonal Training in India and Sri Lanka.

Kuriakose Pallikunnel
Kuriakose Pallikunnel earned his Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology from Bangalore University. He is a certified Facilitator of Holotropic Breathwork. He is visiting faculty in many institutes and colleges in India. Currently he is Rector of Don Bosco Institute in Movila.

Regi Komoroth
egi Komoroth has a Masters in Physics and is completing a second Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Served as Principal of the St. Joseph's Convent senior secondary school at Ratlam for 11 years. She is a certified Holotropic Breathwork facilitator and also conducts workshops on 'Universal Laws' and 'Core Transformation'. She is a Life Coach for "Law of attraction and Universal Laws".

Asha Joseph
Asha Joseph has a Masters in Psychology, P.G. Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has conducted many counselling sessions, Yoga and meditation sessions and facilitated various Holotropic Breathwork workshops in India and in Sri Lanka and is a member of the H.B. facilitators' team.

Emmanuel Mevada
Emmanuel Mevada is a certified Facilitator of Holotropic Breathwork, trained under the Grof Transpersonal Training program. He is committed to guiding participants through the transformative experience of Holotropic Breathwork.

Sr. Berni Joseph
Sr. Berni Joseph is a teacher, serving as Principal of a School for 11 years in Calcutta. She has been in leadership roles at National and international level and has certifications in leadership, facilitation skills, group process and therapy. She has worked with young women and led youth work in YCS and LTS. Sr Bernie served as Provincial for three terms and as General Councilor and superior general of the order for one term. She has a Post graduate degree in Pastoral counseling at Loyola University Chicago and training in Spiritual Direction and retreat work. She is a Certified Facilitator for Holotropic Breathwork.
